Hidden treasures.

I was on my favorite website again JossandMain.com and found this fabulous table. Let me start by saying that my house is a craftsman and the living space is not that big, I have a huge kitchen with an island with (3) stools. At the island is basically were all the eating and gathering is done. So I said to my husband we don't have a dining area, we have this big space by the fireplace that is not being used. I had him measure the space and I could fit a 42" width table well I started my task of being Chief Purchasing Officer for my home (by the way this is what I do at my full-time Job) isn't that funny. Found the table and it fit perfectly and the price was great $200.00, but after finding this great table I needed chairs. I refused to pay top dollar for chairs and every chair that I priced was between $125.00 - $180.00 each, child bye! I was not paying that my budget was $50.00 - $65.00 each. I hit craigslist and nothing jumped at me.

Well my husband said you know I have chairs down stairs in the basement from my bachelor days and they are pretty much what you are looking for, given the pictures I kept showing him. So I was like really!! he said yes you don't remember them when we were dating? I am like NO!!! so he proceeded to go down stair and bought back these gems from our basement....Yesss!! just what I was looking for just needs a little paint and TLC and my dining room is going to look fabulous. Well he had (4) chairs two of them had arms, and the other two were without arms which made my décor eclectic.

So only thing I have to get is some chalk paint from AnnieSloan.com and get to work....so excited the after is going to look dazzling. My cute cozy craftsman house is done DIY and on a nickel and I can't even say a dime.

So this is the color I was thinking of painting the chairs,

still thinking about painting the whole table white?? creative wheels are spinning.

it was his first furniture purchase years ago!

once these are sanded and paint applied they are going to look good,

 keep checking for the finished product.

Beautiful flowers!

Hello my friends!!

its been a while since my last post I have been extremely busy with my business and work. My job sent me to a conference last week, great because it was a day off and great because it was sitting all day. I know that sounds a little boring but the information was great, pertaining to my job. I love learning and gaining wisdom in every area of my life. So bring on the conferences I feel powerful and they are detrimental to my knowledge of how to do my job effectively. I run my department well and my staff is happy but there is always room for improvement.


Enough of that -  been so busy with my orders and getting flowers out for the spring I forgot to blog! shame on me...but I am back and doing more projects. Bought a few more item form my favorite website JossandMain.com you really must visit this site and also OneKingslane.com which I think are owned by the same people, but nice stuff.

How many of you have visit Joescrabshack.com well my mother loves this place she would eat there every week on her days off. if you ordered a drink they give you this cool mason jar to keep, well I have decided to use my jar as a spring floral arrangement how cute the flowers are burlap from kirklands.com such a great buy at $2.99 each and I had FREE shipping and 20% off.  I added a piece of burlap and lace around the jar these are going on my outside dining table for

Easter brunch.

 

Tulips are ready to adorn this beautiful vase, I had a friend ask me to make an arrangement for her home, she has a beautiful home and its gray and white,

so we added these spring tulips to give it a pop of color YELLOW...see below.

ta-da the finished product she has worked her gift again Yasss!!

 

these beauties were requested by a customer whose home was adorned in these spring colors, so I pulled the colors from her curtains...aren't they gorgeous this set will cost you $145.00 so Kelly came up with a new name for my floral business "Is it fake or is it Trina" don't try and steal this its copyrighted as of today! So I am still finishing up these for a nursing home

 these will go in each of the patients room, anything to brighten there living quarters and put a smile on there faces.

Yummy to my Tummy!

Hello Darlings,

So my brother is in school finishing up being a Executive Chef!! and we get to taste all the food that comes across the table. Well...the food is pleasing to the eye and stomach. Just a little testimony about my brother he just kept trying to find his way and really didn't know what career path is for him. Thank God for a praying sister and mother he will be graduating the end of this year...Yess!! God always has a master plan.

Filet mignon with whipped mashed potatoes and veggies!!

 

Chocolate chip mint ice cream with almonds, whip cream and almond pie filled with chocolate.

the ice cream is homemade!

 

Love the pink nail polish looking forward to SPRING!!

No more snow please.

Hello!!
Okay enough with the snow already!!

I said I would never complain about the weather because I am happy to be alive to see it, but I live on a very steep hill and when I slid down it this morning omg!! talk about calling on the name of Jesus (which I do everyday) but this morning I slid into traffic. At the bottom of my hill is stop signs coming both ways and of all the mornings several cars were coming yup!! both ways. So I had to slid into some rocks to keep from going into the cars. Now with all that I drive a 2012 Jeep grand Cherokee with 4X4 does not matter. God is good I am ok and just a minor loosening of the front fender from using the rocks as my landing pad.

So my projects continue went curtain shopping for the bedroom re-do on Friday got a great deal at marburn.com curtains outlet -  four panels @ $14.00 each, ya'll know I love a sale and my client was happy also that's all that matters. The window we are doing is very oddly shaped...hum! so I am curious to see how this will look.

Painted the walls a soft beige we are removing the ceiling fan and adding a chandelier, the look of this room is vintage Hollywood!

So I was on my favorite website Joss&Main.com and got this cute bookend....yes! it's a scooter
how adorable I just had to have it and @ $22.95 looks great on my shelf.

Ready set renovate!

Hello everyone Pray your week is blessed as mines was and still is I know it was darlings.
I have acquired (3) new projects since my last post Yeah! God is so good. I have Kitchen re-do in another state a living room re-do.  kitchen and bedroom re-do this weekend, also have choir rehearsal in Patchogue Saturday for a performance April 5th...OMG! and this is last rehearsal so I have to be there. Busy busy busy....but guess what I love it!

The kitchen and bedroom that I am doing have to be done by Tuesday because the client will be coming home, I need to get curtains and décor items for the room, and accessories for the kitchen Friday; and have everything in place by the latest Monday evening.

So excited about this project the children decided to re-do the grandmothers house for her while she is away; and I tell you it is going to look fabulous. This project was started roughly 2 weeks ago! The kitchen was completely gutted down to the studs everything new cabinets, appliances, granite countertops, backsplash, walls, lighting and re-wired the antiquated wiring.

 Mind you this kitchen has not been renovated since the early 70's..yeah! big fun...

I know this is not a clear picture but you could see the recess lighting and tile on the floor that looks like hard wood floors.
